Saori was introduced to Itsuki through Mogi and the two got along very well. They went on a couple dates, but an accident caused this relationship to end.
In Depth
Takumi asked Mogi to find a girl to pair Itsuki up with so Mogi introduced an old friend, Saori, to Itsuki. On their double date, Itsuki and Saori got along well. Itsuki is attracted to Saori and was impressed when she showed interest in street racing.
So, he decided to ask her on another date, just the two of them, to Lake Akina. The day was going well, and they rented a boat to row on the lake. While Saori was admiring Akina Fuji's beauty, Itsuki decided this was the perfect time to snag the first kiss. When Saori turned around to see Itsuki's lips so close to her, she was surprised and dodged, sending Itsuki into the lake. The mood was awkward for the rest of the date. On the way back, Shingo tailgated them and then tapped Itsukis' bumper. Itsuki tried racing him on the downhill but entered a corner too quickly, causing him to scrape his car on the side. Shingo took this opportunity to tap his bumper again, causing Itsuki's car to spin out.
Itsuki sustained some injuries but Saori got away with just a scratch. The accident really scared her though and to forget about what happened, she didn't want to see him again. This started Itsuki's motto of "street racers don't need a girl".
