Kai is a racer whose home course is Irohazaka. He does not belong to any team though.
Personality
When not racing, Kai is polite with his words. In battles, he is very determined, giving it all that he's got, but he also tends to be a little impatient.
Friends and Family
Kai's father is Kogashiwa Ken who is Fujiwara Bunta's rival. His talent in racing has been nutured by his father since he was young.
Racing
Car: MR2 [SW20]Kai drives his father's blue Toyota SW20. It's a mid-ship with the engine place behind the driver rather than in the front of the car, giving the car good weight balance and handling. When Kai was young, he entered and won many cart races. Before turning to street racing, he rode a motorcycle. Like Takumi, he has an unusual talent in racing. On Irohazaka, he knows of a special line on each of the hairpins. By driving straight forward during a drift, he can jump the corner, creating a shortcut.
