General
Kyouichi is the #1 driver of the Irohazaka Emperors and has a prejudice against cars with low horsepower. Although he views Takahashi Ryosuke of the Akagi RedSuns as his rival, it seems he also admires Ryosuke's skills. The goal of the Emperors is to defeat all of the racing teams, but his personal goal is to defeat Ryosuke.
Personality
Kyouichi's personality is one that Ryosuke dislikes. He hates admitting when he loses. After greatly improving his skills, that seemed to have changed. His personality is also somewhat like Seiji's, a bit arrogant and confident, except calmer and not as rash.
Friends and Family
Kyouichi and Seiji are always seen together in the series, and his other friends are members of the Emperors.

Kyouichi races with a black Lancer Evolution III that has a misfiring system. His style is to tailgate his opponent until the end when he will pass him/her and take the lead. For battles, he has also come up with different simulations to use on his opponent. He shares these simulations with his team.
