Short summary
Just as Keisuke and Kenji were about to have their time attack, they find out that the Hachi Roku was on its way to the peak, and they wait for its arrival. When it reached the peak, Takumi steps out of the car surprising the SpeedStars since they were expecting Bunta to come and save the local's pride. However, Iketani lets Takumi drive against Keisuke because he realizes that it's Takumi that has been delivering the tofu for the past 5 years, not Bunta. The battle between Keisuke's FD and Takumi's Hachi Roku finally begins, and Keisuke easily takes the lead. The galleries are amazed by Takumi's drifting skills, and after each corner, he charges in on Keisuke, but then the gap widens on the straightaways. Takumi has to overtake Keisuke somehow, and the 5 hairpin curves are the attack point!
Longer summary
At Akina, both Keisuke and Iketani are both hoping that the Hachi Roku will show up. As Iketani looks down the road, he sees an oncoming light, but then realizes it's just Itsuki arriving on his scooter. He tells Kenji to prepare himself for the time attack.
Just as Hiroshi was about to count down for the time attack between Keisuke and Kenji, he is informed that a car had passed the finish line and is heading towards the peak. Iketani asks what kind of car it was and found out it was a panda Hachi Roku. After hearing that, Keisuke tells Hiroshi to stop counting down and wait for the Hachi Roku. Kenji isn't his real opponent, the driver of the Hachi Roku is.
On the way up to the peak, Takeshi of the Night Kids watched as Takumi exited a corner, and he commented that he was good. The people with him couldn't believe that since it was just an ordinary Hachi Roku. Takeshi replied saying that cars that are driven by drivers who can control their car like their hands and legs give off auras. It's strong with Ryosuke, weak with Keisuke, and strong with that Hachi Roku.
The Hachi Roku finally reaches the peak, and Takumi steps out the car. The SpeedStars are surprised because they were expecting Bunta to come. Iketani runs up to him wondering where his father is. Takumi tells him that his father sent him to beat the RedSuns, and when Iketani asked him if he could defeat Keisuke, he said he's already beaten him once. After hearing that, Iketani finally realizes; Bunta isn't the only one who delivers the tofu, Takumi does it too. He's the only one who has been doing it for the past 5 years.
The race between Keisuke and Takumi finally starts. Keisuke easily takes the lead, showing off his FD's power of 350 horsepower. From the Hachi Roku's starting dash, Ryosuke sees that it has 150 horsepower at most and cannot find any reason for Keisuke to be defeated by it. The car isn't the monster; is it the driver?
The first corner reports back to the peak saying that the Hachi Roku took an incredible line, driving 5cm from the guardrail. Keisuke is still ahead, but then noticed the Hachi Roku in his rearview mirror and cannot believe that it gained on him. Another corner reports back saying that the Hachi Roku entered and exited at high speeds while skidding the rear. After each corner, Takumi ends up pushing Keisuke, and it's driving Keisuke nuts because he's being tailed by an underpowered car. The gap then widens on the straightaways.
Bunta won't call it a win unless Takumi overtakes Keisuke's FD. The five hairpin curves are the attack point!
